Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Filmatch account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (instant)

  1. Open Filmatch and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Tap the settings cog (⚙) in the top-right corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. Your account and all data are deleted immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us from the address linked to your account at filmatch.app@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will verify your identity and delete your account within 7 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes the following from our servers:

Data retention

Account data is deleted immediately when you delete your account in the app, or within 7 days of a verified email request. We retain no personal data after deletion, except where required by law. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.
